I started my YouTube journey about 10-years ago when a bunch of us moved from MySpace makeup groups and step-by-step pic tutorials, to full-blown video tutorials on YouTube! At first, our videos were very shaky and had to be under 10-minutes long unless you were later approved to become a "YouTube Partner". At that time, the driving force for wanting to become Partner, is that you were able to upload videos that were longer than 10-minutes, and that meant you could upload your entire look instead of having to break it up into "Pt. 1", "Pt. 2", and so on.
A few years into my YouTube journey, I began a small makeup line called "Harajuku Hunnies Cosmetics". HHC took off with the craze of the "wheels"... if you're old-school makeup community, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about! HHC had to eventually be shut down, but that's a story I'll save for another time. If you want to hear about it, let me know. :)
Anyhow, YouTube began growing rapidly, but my ex (fiance at the time,) didn't appreciate me spending so much time online, interacting on Twitter, promoting the line, editing videos, etc. So I stopped and eventually fell off the beauty grid.
Over the next few years, I would upload random videos but was never truly committed to producing videos weekly. I've deleted most of my old content, which is something I regret doing. After all, it would make for some great entertainment, and I'm sure you'd enjoy a few laughs (at my expense!) LOL
So here I am... 10-years later. Stepping back into the social media game. Not so much for myself, but because I have seen the beauty community turn into something I never expected, and I have chosen to do my part to bring back the "beauty" into our community.
Please subscribe. <3
xoxo,
Trinity
